Ecuador Mission Trip - Wings of Hope Organization - June, 2005
|
What an amazing experience this was and one that we shall never forget. We owe many thanks to Carlos Goydos and family as well as the Wings of Hope organization for allowing us the opportunity to participate in this humanitarian effort.
We experienced many things such as; altitude sickness, kamikaze bus drivers, language and cultural barriers, unknown foods, large bugs, sleep deprivation, wet clothing, no a/c or hot water, fighting dogs, lack of drinking water and normal food, crowing roosters at 2 A.M., as well as feelings of excitement, fear, sympathy, exhilaration, peace, and hope to mention a few.
Although exhausted upon our arrival home, we were more thankful than ever for all that we have and the new friendships that we made. I now fear that all future trips/vacations shall be rather boring in comparison to Ecuador!
